Humans serve guests.
Machines do
the rest.
Bodie is back-office software for independent restaurants. It drafts your Sysco order, warns you before the brisket runs out, sketches next week’s schedule and leaves a one-page brief on your desk by 6am. It never says a word to a guest, and it doesn’t lift a finger until you tell it to.
Already at work in a BBQ and sports bar in Alexandria, VA. We’re now inviting a few more restaurants to join them. Toast POS supported at launch.

Great restaurants are run from the floor. Yet every hour a manager spends rebuilding a schedule, reconciling an invoice or guessing at an order is an hour away from the dining room. Most “AI for restaurants” wants to put a robot in front of your customers. Bodie goes the other way. It takes on the tedious manager work, does it carefully, and hands it back for your signature, so you can get back to running service.
Get your week back.
Bodie drafts the purchasing, flags price changes, roughs out the schedule and has the morning brief ready before the coffee is. Your managers review and approve instead of starting from a blank page.
Order what you’ll actually sell.
Bodie reads your sales, your stock and the calendar, trivia night and Commanders kickoffs included. You order tighter, 86 less often, and the brisket is still there when the second half starts.
No robots at the table.
Bodie will never text a guest, take an order or pretend to be one of your staff. It does the machine work, which leaves the people work to your people.
The best thing our staff can do is work with our customers. Bodie allows every team member to focus on customer service rather than tedious tasks.

Nothing leaves this screen without your say-so.
It does the paperwork. You take the credit.
Bodie connects to the systems you already use and turns their raw numbers into actions you can approve with one tap.
- Smart purchasing drafts. Sysco orders built from what you actually used, with a reason on every line. Nothing goes out until you approve it.
- Inventory & 86 watch. “You’ll run out of brisket by 7pm.” One tap 86es it on the boards and the delivery apps.
- Schedule drafts that respect reality. Availability, skills, who works well together and expected demand, checked against labor rules before you publish.
- Your morning in one page. The 6am Brief puts yesterday, today, staffing gaps and 86 risks where you can see them at a glance.
Four jobs nobody went into hospitality to do.
Each card is a proposal. Nothing happens until you tap it.
Smart purchasing drafts
Sysco orders built from what you actually used, with the reasoning on every line. If a price jumped since the last delivery, Bodie points it out.

Inventory & 86 watch
A live mirror of your stock, synced with Toast. When it says “you’ll run out of brisket by 7pm,” one tap updates the POS, the delivery apps and the board.
Schedule drafts that respect reality
Availability, skills, who works well together and expected demand, rolled into one first draft. A rule-based labor check runs before anything is published.
Your morning in one page
The 6am Brief: yesterday’s sales, today’s forecast, staffing gaps and 86 risks on a single page.
Made for restaurants where the owner still knows the regulars.
If you run one to five locations and your managers still build the schedule on a Sunday night, Bodie was made for you. Covers, comps, voids: we know what a Saturday does to a kitchen.

Your whole morning fits on one page.
Bodie lays yesterday, today and what’s coming side by side: sales, labor, fixtures, events and risks. Every proposal shows its work, like a good math student.
- 60 seconds to read the whole morning, start to finish
- Every proposal explains itself with its source data and reasoning
- Root-cause traces in plain English when something breaks
Bodie does the work. You keep the keys.
Connect
Link Toast and your scheduling tool. From day one, Bodie reads your data through secure, read-only exports.
Review
Every morning, and before the deadlines that matter, Bodie puts a proposal in front of you: a draft order, a schedule or an alert. Each one shows its reasoning.
Approve
One tap and Bodie carries it out, leaving a clear record of who approved what. Without your tap, nothing happens.
Bodie proposes and you decide. That rule is written into the code. How it works →
Built for the independents.
Bodie was born in a 12-person BBQ and sports bar on Toast. That’s where we learned about covers, comps, voids and the particular chaos of a Saturday with a game on. If you run one to a handful of locations and your managers still build the schedule on a Sunday night, you’ll feel at home. Franchise-scale complexity can wait. Your week back can’t.
Who we’d turn away, for now
Large multi-location groups, and anyone shopping for a guest-facing chatbot. Bodie doesn’t do that, on purpose.
Ideal beta partner
- Independent or small group (1–5 locations)
- On Toast POS today (more systems on the roadmap)
- An owner or GM who wants to give 3–5 hours a week back to the floor
- Willing to share honest feedback every week or two
Takes about 3 minutes. We reply within 2 business days.
Get in early. Tell us what’s wrong.
We’re keeping the beta small on purpose, so we can actually listen. Beta partners get early access, a direct line to the people building Bodie and a real say in what comes next. There’s no long-term contract. All we ask is that you try it where it helps and tell us where it doesn’t.
You get
- Early access at beta pricing
- Hands-on onboarding with the team
- A direct line to the builders, and a vote on what ships
- Founding beta recognition (if you want it)
We ask
- Use Bodie where it fits your workflow
- Tell us plainly what helps and what doesn’t
- About 15 minutes most weeks for a quick check-in
Put the back office on autopilot. Keep your hands on the wheel.

Fair questions. Straight answers.
Does Bodie talk to my guests?
Never. Bodie is deliberately kept off the floor: no chatbots and no automated messages to guests. If Bodie ever helps with guest communication, such as an opt-in text about trivia night, you write or approve every word, and guests have to say yes first.
Does Bodie place orders or 86 items without me?
No. Bodie drafts and proposes, and you approve. One tap carries out the action and logs it. That goes for purchasing, stock updates, schedules and any message to staff.
What POS do you support?
Toast at launch, starting with our design partner. Bodie is built to work with any source, so more POS systems are on the roadmap. Tell us what you use when you apply.
What does beta pricing look like?
Beta partners get founding pricing and help shape the long-term model. The plan is simple: a one-time onboarding cost about the size of a small hardware purchase, plus a monthly fee that stays well below what the saved manager hours are worth. You’ll see the price before you commit to anything.
Own your floor again.
Bodie handles the back-office busywork so your team can get on with the job they signed up for, which is taking care of people.
Applying is free and commits you to nothing. We reply within 2 business days.
Built with restaurant owners, not just for them.
