Features
Powerful behind the scenes.
Simple on the surface.
Every Bodie feature follows the same rule: do the tedious work for you, show its work, and wait for your approval. No surprises, no autonomous actions behind your back. Here’s what Bodie handles today and what’s coming next.
Purchasing, without
the paperwork.
Bodie reads vendor invoices, maps them to your items, flags price changes versus last delivery, and drafts your next order from real consumption — not guesswork. It factors in what you have on hand, what’s already on order, and what’s coming (events, games, day-of-week demand). Every line has a rationale you can check.
- Invoice reading — PDF to structured lines, with price-change flags
- Item mapping — vendor SKUs matched to your item master and menu, with proposals for new items
- Order drafts — par-aware, consumption-based, event-aware — always as a draft for your review
- Margin-aware — per-line context so you can spot a cost creep before you approve
You approve every order. Bodie never sends a purchase order on its own.
Sends only after you tap approve. Audit logged.

Know what you’re about
to run out of — before
guests do.
Bodie mirrors your Toast stock status as the source of truth. When inventory runs low, Bodie alerts you with a real depletion estimate (“you’ll run out of brisket by 7pm”) and proposes the 86. Approve once, and Bodie updates Toast — which automatically syncs to your Toast Online Ordering, DoorDash, and Uber Eats menus — and refreshes your in-store digital menu board. When the delivery is counted, it can propose the un-86 the same way.
- Live stock mirror — fed by Toast stock webhooks; Toast remains the source of truth
- Depletion alerts — proactive, time-bound (“by 7pm tonight”)
- One-tap 86 / un-86 — updates POS, online ordering, delivery channels, and menu boards together
- Digital menu board — TV display driven by live stock; cloud fallback if the local box is offline
The schedule, started
for you — and checked
before it ships.
Bodie builds a schedule draft from forecast demand, staff availability, station skills, and manager-entered pairings (“works well together,” “avoid same section”). Every draft is run through a deterministic labor-rules check — Virginia first, built to extend to Fair Workweek cities — so issues are flagged before you publish. You edit, then publish. Bodie never publishes a schedule on its own.
- Draft from real inputs — demand signals, availability, capabilities, and your pairing notes
- Labor-rules check — overtime, minor hours, breaks, and local rules evaluated deterministically and attached to every draft
- Manager-owned pairings — entered by you, respected by Bodie, and never exposed to AI beyond what’s needed
- Staff notifications — only after you publish, through the right channel, with proper consent
Sensitive pairing notes stay manager-visible only and never enter an AI context window.
Flag: Ava Tue hits 6h without break (VA minor rule). Move off at 5 or add 30-min break. Deterministic check — not AI.
Your morning, on one page.
Every morning at 6am, Bodie delivers a concise brief: yesterday’s numbers, today’s forecast, upcoming fixtures and events, staffing gaps, and any 86 risks. Separately, Bodie quietly reviews voids, comps, discounts, and cash handling for patterns — owner-visible only.
- 6am Brief — yesterday, today, and what’s coming — built to read in 60 seconds
- Fixture & event context — Commanders kickoff at 1pm? Trivia night? It’s in your brief with estimated lift
- Anomaly review — void/comp/discount pattern detection, surfaced to owners only
- Demand signals — typed, explainable forecasts handed between systems, not black-box guesses

Shipping in vertical slices — with real restaurants.
We’re shipping with real kitchens, not in a lab. Here’s what’s on the near-term roadmap. Beta partners vote on what comes first.
Catering Orchestrator
Explode a catering order through recipes to ingredients, vendor delta, staffing plan, floor backfill, prep timeline, and margin analysis — one proposal, mandatory human review.
More scheduling integrations
7shifts, Homebase, and others (we’ll ask what you use when you apply).
Additional POS systems
Toast first, more to follow.
Licensed sports & event data
Optional licensed fixture feed as a drop-in for the current per-tenant schedule source.
Out of scope for current beta: vendor portal browser automation, multi-location enterprise, and any guest-facing automation. We’ll say so clearly when each is ready.
